BNC Venture Capital Group

This group introduces exciting investment opportunities to professional investors (angels, early stage venture capitalists, and private equity firms seeking add-ons) and fosters the growth of entrepreneurial activity.  Led by Len Bland, CEO of Concept Equity, and David Carman, CEO of Business Network Chicago. We will review three entrepreneurial opportunities.  Each presentation lasts 10 minutes, followed by a 15 minute Q&A.

The Big Idea Forum: TBIF-Speed Dating
Monday, February 21, 2011, 5:30-8:00pm, The Kerryman Bar (661 N Clark Street, Chicago IL)
Get equal numbers of startup entrepreneurs and seasoned entrepreneurs in a room . Each startup entrepreneur gets 3 minutes to describe his/her business and make an “ask” (looking for developers / customers / mentors…). The idea is to create a new interaction every 8 minutes and so each person gets to meet 11 new people in 90 minutes. 


Chicago Crowdpitch – Presented by FundingUniverse , the ITA, and MBF Legal

February 22, 2011 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Illinois Technology Association (200 S. Wacker Drive,15th Floor)
Crowdpitch will be an opportunity for entrepreneurs, angel investors, venture capitalists, commercial bankers, family offices , and other supporters of the Chicago start up/entrepreneur community to come together for mingling and to hear quick 4 minute pitches from pre-screened/qualified entrepreneurs and to offer their opinions and their (fake) money with the winner being the entrepreneur who raises the most  (fake) money.
