Representatives of HPA went to Notre Dame today to check out their budding entrepreneurship program at the Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, and the new Innovation Park at Notre Dame. Really neat stuff. Thanks to Dan Rahill of KPMG (an HPA sponsor), John Glassgow of Lathrop Gage, and Andy McKenna for setting the meetings up. Notre Dame’s Gigot Center is run by Laura Hollis. She is instituting an entrepreneurship program that will run across all the academic disciplines at the school, including the graduate schools. It’s going to be really neat, and a great opportunity to build a business. In addition, if you walk across the parking lot there is an impressive new space run by Theresa Sedlack. The Innovation Center is an incubator for budding businesses. The surrounding area businesses are excited it’s there. If any businesses near South Bend want to support the Center, the best thing you can do is become a customer of one of the new businesses within it! After the meetings, it was nice to watch Notre Dame whip Villanova in a Big East basketball match up. Best of luck to the Irish in the Big East tournament and the NCAA’s this year. Of course, on the drive home we couldn’t help but notice all the billboards publicizing the SolutionIndiana.com website!
