HPA in University of Chicago News

HPA was mentioned in the latest University of Chicago online magazine.  It’s important to note that the Polsky Center at the university has done a lot to instill a start up DNA into the student population.  The Booth School has some incredible professors when it comes to entrepreneurship.  But, as an undergrad, the university has some incredible professors in all disciplines that encourage students to critically think about ideas.

When you critically think about ideas, you start to “think out of the box”.  That term is overused, but entrepreneurs often do engage in some creative thinking. If you are interested in becoming an entrepreneur, start looking at your daily life.  What is a problem that you encounter everyday that can be overcome with some innovation?

Hyde Park Angels engages graduate students from the Booth School to work for us.  We are very pleased with the input we have gotten from them.  Many of our associates have gone on to some pretty neat jobs after school.  HPA likes to think we played a small part in it.  So does the culture of the university.
